The Outdoor Education Program for girls in Years 3 to 10 encourages teamwork, problem solving and the development of self-confidence in an environment away from the classroom. During Years 3 to 10 the girls go to a different camp each year. The program is staged, with the length of each camp increasing each year and the activities becoming more physically demanding with each progressive year.
All Senior School camps are conducted by the Outdoor Education Group, with Kambala teachers attending for further support.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme was introduced at Kambala in 1998 to complement the many activities of students in outdoor education, sport, service, charity and extra-curricular education. Students are very enthusiastic in working towards these awards and are encouraged by staff.
