Massie House Library is a very busy place. Apart from fostering a love of literature, the library also provides a variety of information resources, which the girls learn to use in their weekly lessons. Lunchtime library sessions for Year 1 and Year 2 are very popular, with many girls taking the opportunity to read, draw, play board games or work on the computers.

Special events during the year include:

• The Premier’s Reading Challenge for the students in Transition to Year 2
• Book Week celebrations (including book displays, visiting authors, guest storytellers, competitions)
• The annual Book Fair, which gives children the opportunity to donate new books to the library.
