About the Junior School

The Junior School, which caters for approximately 220 students in Years 3 to 6, builds on the excellent foundation established in Massie House. Of prime importance is furthering learning skills towards goals of academic achievement and excellence. Social and moral development is nurtured and care is taken to create a warm and supportive working environment for each girl.

The Junior School is a vibrant and active part of Kambala. At any given time girls will be engaged in a myriad of activities: making iMovies, painting, carrying out scientific experiments, working on a poem, compiling a report and more. Recognising the importance of computer technology in today’s society, the Junior School provides girls with access to computers in a lab as well as every classroom via a wireless network. Computers are used for word processing, spread sheeting and graphing, as well as for research, web page design and multimedia presentations.

By the end of the Junior School phase of their education at Kambala, the girls have not only obtained an excellent academic foundation, but they have also been exposed to a great variety of social and cultural experiences.
