Senior School Receptionist
Senior School (Years 7 – 12) Reception is a very vibrant place – people are constantly coming and going, the phone is ringing and there is much to do. The Receptionist is an important person at Kambala, being the first contact that many people have with the school, and one of the links between parents and their daughters. She/he takes an informal role in the school’s pastoral care of our students, manages student absences and the switchboard, collates the Senior School calendar and does some general administrative tasks.
This position will suit a caring, friendly person who is a good communicator and who genuinely enjoys and respects young people. She/he should be comfortable working with technology and have a professional approach to their work. The ability to multi-task would be an advantage.
Some training/experience in a school setting would be an advantage but is not essential.
The position will be full-time, however, flexible working hours could be negotiated and it may suit a job-share situation. It is expected that the position will have the usual 4 weeks annual holidays. The School Support Award is relevant to this position.

Maintenance Worker
We are looking for a handyman to join our maintenance team. This is a full time position (Monday to Friday). Hours may vary from time to time as necessary with some overtime possible. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment is an expectation.

Science Lab Assistant - Temporary, Term 3
July 21 – Sept 26, 2008
The Senior School (Years 7 – 12) Science faculty teaches general Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics to students from Years 7 – 12. The Science Laboratory Assistant supports and assists the Science teachers and manages the four Science Laboratories. This involves managing and maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing experiments, cleaning-up after experiments, ordering and maintaining the database for equipment and liaising with teachers.
This position will suit an organised person who is a good communicator. She/he should be comfortable working with technology and have a professional approach to their work. The ability to multi-task would be an advantage. Further details of the position description are included below.

Network Administrator
Kambala is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to join the IT Department as a Network Administrator. Reporting to the IT Director, this is a key role that offers potential for growth and experience to the right person and the opportunity to work in a highly dynamic environment. The Network Administrator is responsible for the maintenance and management of the School’s network and computer systems.
