From the Director of Boarding

A boarding experience is such a wonderful gift to any young woman. Boarding enables girls to truly explore their own innate abilities and to find their individual niche of success.

The immediacy of having so many facilities and resources on hand creates a strong sense of independence and willingness, as our girls seek to utilise all that this creative and productive learning environment provides. Music, sport, debating, leadership and social etiquette figure prominently in a boarder’s life. Their ‘busyness’ encourages effective time management and a belief in their limitless potential.

The benefits of sharing and caring as part of living in a community cannot be overstated. Empathy and selflessness are attributes less commonly found in our adolescents today. Treating others as one wishes to be treated onself, and reaching out to show support and sensitivity to others are lessons as important as any that your daughters will learn throughout their school lives.

The diversity of culture, personalities, of interests and backgrounds makes this community of one hundred young women a truly dynamic one. While Kambala’s boarders are predominantly from rural New South Wales, the presence of girls from destinations around the world enhances and enlivens the girls’ awareness that we are truly part of a global community.

We welcome all past, present and prospective students and their families who may wish to come and visit our boarding facilities. Tivoli, our Junior Boarding House, a gracious home located in the heart of the school campus, and Fernbank, our Senior Boarding House, a modern, purpose-built facility adjacent to the school campus invite you to see what makes us special.
