The Class of 2007 has achieved excellent results in this year’s Higher School Certificate.
At the Valedictory Dinner in September, each girl was asked to reflect on the light she will spread over the world which she will now enter. The range of attributes of these young women is extensive and it has been a pleasure to have seen them grow into the unique individuals who today can celebrate completing this important educational milestone with distinction. I am proud of these results which are an indication of both their ability and their commitment to achieving their best.
Education is about much more than a UAI or a rank or a mark out of 100. It is about the development of the whole person. It is about equipping a young person with the qualities that will enable her to be a responsible citizen and build a rewarding and meaningful life beyond school.
Congratulations to this impressive group of Kambala graduates.
Outstanding individual results
Seven girls will receive a Premier’s Award for gaining a Band 6 result (90 or more marks) in ten units.
Outstanding individual results included one student gaining 12th place in the state in English (Advanced) and 6th place in the state in English Extension 1, another student gaining 5th place in the state in Modern Greek studied through the Open High School, another gaining 8th place in the state in English (Standard) and a student gaining 11th place in the state in Ancient History.
Analysis of Results and UAIs
The school receives the subject results for each student and can therefore make comment on various aspects of performance. The UAI is provided to the individual students only and it has not been possible to make contact with all students, as many are travelling or otherwise unavailable.
There were 98 girls in the Year 12 class of 2007 and at the time of writing, we are aware of the UAI results of only a few of our girls. At least 7 girls gained a UAI of 99 or more.
Below is a list of the number of girls who gained results in the top band for 4 or more of their units.
